The New Generation was a series released in 2005. Including 120 characters; 60 Ghosts (numbered F1 to F60) and 60 Monsters (numbered 1 to 60); this is the largest collection of Crazy Bones yet. This was the final classic series in the US.

The figures in this set are slightly larger than other Crazy Bones, being about the same height as a Mega Bone, but not as wide. Some of the characters are new versions of previous Gogo's; for example, Killer Jaws is a new version of Jaws, and Super and Evil Eggy are new versions of Eggy.

Trivia

  • Ghosts in some countries, the series was known as "Ghost Gogo's Crazy Bones", and only included the sixty Ghosts in the set. However, Ghost was also released in Italy, this time with Buddies, Mutants and Ghosts combined into one set.
  • The number on their back is sometimes different to the checklist number because they were orignally part of seperate sets but combined into one.
  • Some of the figures in this series are characters from the Gogos (1996), Buddies and Mutants series, but ghostly forms. For example Sharkey from Buddies becomes Sharkey Ghost.
  • In Brazil in 2006 there was a betting game on the internet that put Buddies, Mutants and New Generation figures together in a soccer tournament.

Gogotoys

The Ghosts Series was released in Brazil in 2004. As it's name suggests, the series included only the 60 Ghost characters from The New Generation, while the Monsters were never distributed. Each pack came with 2 Gogo's, 2 stickers, and a trading card. Magic Bone (Magic Gogo in Brazil) is the main character and mascot, as well as the leader, of the Ghost Gogo's.

Something unique about this release is that the Ghost Gogo's were given an story about their origins in the official sticker album. They are closely tied to the Gogotoys.

Story

According to the sticker album, in a distant land lived a master painter named Litgowl. He was skilled in drawing with such realism that his name was well known across the entire country. However, on a stormy night, Litgowl was visited by the evil sorcerer Vladir the Grey, who demanded the painter to make a portrait of him. Being pure of heart, Litgowl found himself unable to paint such vile being, which infuriated the sorcerer. By casting a curse on Litgowl, Vladir split the painter in many pieces representing his personality traits, which became the Ghost Gogo's. Each one of the little creatures retained a fragment of Litgowl's memories, but otherwise completely forgot their origin as a human. By investigating Litgowl's house, they eventually came across a blue chest containing the Gogotoys, who used to be Litgowl's childhood dolls. Since the story was never concluded, it's unknown if the Gogo's ever learned about their origins and confronted Vladir.

On a interesting note, the story explains that the term "Gogo" comes from Litgowl's childhood nickname.
