• When Buddies were first released in the United Kingdom, "Have You Found Sharkey?" was written on the front of each pack. He was the rarest character to find. This has been continued by Magicbox in the UK, with many new toys they produce having a quote similar to "Have you found Sharkey?" teasing rare/gimmick characters in their Series

• He was the most popular Crazy Bone in Europe and many different versions of him were made.
