Superheroes De Mundo Gaturro

Gatoons are a series of small plastic figurines that are heavily inspired by the Gogo's Crazy Bones fad and are even made from the same identical plastic. These figurines are based on various characters from the Gaturro books, magazines and video games, which are children's writings that were first published in Argentina in 1993. These figures were made by Panini and even have the stamp on their back, which is almost identical to the ones that Gogo's have.

The figurines come in many different colors and there are also rare shiny gold, silver, glitter and glow in the dark figures. There is also a sticker book and some figurines were given away with Flynn Paff candy packages and exclusive shiny gold figures with the Gaturro comics. Each foil pack contains three figurines and three stickers. There are a total of 40 figurines to collect and each one features the titular Gaturro cat character in a different costume.

Gatoons are currently only available in Argentina and will probably remain there as the source material was exclusive to that country. There is also a video game spin-off where you can collect virtual versions of these figurines and store them on a shelf and there is a code on the back of each sticker which gives you a different outfit in the game.

Trivia

  • The official Turma Da Monica was very similar to this series as that one was based on an exclusive Brazilian comic series as well. Panini helped produce that series too.
  • Even though this is an unofficial series, there are still some South American Gogo's with the same Panini stamp on their back.
