This a discussion about the future of the wiki. Soon people are gonna quit Fandom and or the wiki, kids grow up and idk in the future people are gonna care about the wiki anymore I might be worrying or this is a actual problem
What's on your mind?
After my inactivity on the site, I've been noticing the mass usage of tabs surrounding a few pages on the site. I would like to make a request to separate the tabs from the following pages in order to create new ones, which are:
The usage of the tabs has been making it hard for me to edit a couple of pages, and it does make it quite annoying to edit the individual tabs, as there is a large amount of cluttered information within the edit mode. I'm aware the wiki is willing to organise the pages, but I would like to see the one's I have mentioned to be separated to make it more practical for the editors on the site.
Reposting this from Chat place and stuff if someone missed it.
Ok, so in this canadian sticker book on page 3, it has all released series of figures. But look under the rockeros board game... Power Pack - 20 wacky glow in the dark characters. Is the Power Pack the other 20 Rockeros outside the board game?
The collection tip is interesting too. Look for 20 wacky glow in the dark figures in Series 1, 2 and 3. - Were the 20 Rockeros randomly put into the normal packs? As well as Power Packs.
if you have a big impressive collection and want to show it off, then please make a blog post with all the photos of them in it and I will add it to the https://crazybonespedia.fandom.com/wiki/Fan%27s_Collections page.
I will post below what I have found. So far this Clyde aliens picture, which may have been part of a flash game.
We have recently been getting a number of complaints from users that are against the unofficial pages being on here. Since some of these collector's are getting angry at seeing those pages here we had came up with the idea of coloring the infoboxes red to make them stand out, but even after that it doesn't seem like it is enough because we are still getting complaints.
What would be the best approach to still host an area of information on the unofficial content, but be able to not have it waved in the face of official collectors? Removing them completely isn't a good idea because some collectors on here enjoy all of the different 'knucklebone' style figurines and enjoy collecting them along with Gogo's and also some of the pages on here are the only source of information for that series on the whole internet, for example the Gatoons, Little Tokyo's, Skyzos and Nitsu's. There is no other website that showcases the figurines from those series with specific information on them.
The other option would be to move all the unofficial stuff to a seperate wiki and that would literally takes days and days to do. Another method I have tried to tackle this was by still putting the unofficial series tab on the main page, but having it hidden with an expand button so it is basically not even there. The drop down menu at the top is still a work in progress and if it is requested then any unofficial references in there can be removed completely.
It has been brought to my attention that pages with Tabview or Tabbers cannot be edited with the regular edit button. I didn't know about this until this evening. I think in the future Wikia/Fandom will adjust it so that the original editor can work with the tabs, but for now it doesn't. To be able to edit these pages you must click the button next to Edit and then scroll down to Classic Editor and while in Classic Editor you must click Source. While in Source mode you can only edit the page in HMTL code format.
Please comment below a list of things that need to be added on this wiki. For example giving the Series 1 their new info boxes, creating a Foot checklist, giving Foot and Groovy pages specific infoboxes, placing more information on the indivual books on the book page and the same with the magazine issues.
The user by the name of Eternique has claimed that this is a messy wiki and it is difficult to navigate through and because of this he has created a different wiki https://crazybonesgogos.wikia.com/wiki/
I had asked him why he had created it and if he had any tips on improving this one and he had instantly blocked me from it. I also asked him why he didn't just come and help us over here to imrprove it, but he pointed me to another thread to read and it didn't really answer my question.
Since these users are finding this site messy and difficult to navigate through then I am wondering what we could do to change it? On the main page could there be a menu kind of like the Marvel wiki https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Marvel_Database#Comics where each tab will show you a colored box with the different series, merchandise and the like?
I would really like some advice how to make it look much cleaner. I thought that changing the infoboxes would help to keep the two different generation series seperate, as well as the unofficial stuff, but I think even that is only a minor detail.
- Classic pages = Bright Green
- Modern pages = Pale Green
- Unofficial pages = Pale pink
- This is to not confuse new comers to the wiki and it shows which era the Gogo's are from or if they are official or not.
please list pages here that you feel should be merged together, such as the recent Mickey and Mega Mickey page and the Mosh and Super Star Mosh page.
Attention: Over the next few weeks, we are migrating your community's domain to fandom.com.
is the announcment from Wikia, which means they will change this site's name to CrazyBonespedia.Fandom instead of wikia. Fandom of course will point more towards fan fiction and inaccuracies and not a accurate encylopedia. This is a shame. This will look just like some fan website rather than a guide people can use in the future.
this is my example (not accurate information about the Gogo, just showing off how it works)
Basically the little tab buttons you press can change the information, image and all that on the Gogo's infobox. It also works to expand the different galleries to make the pages less messy.
Hey, I just had a thought about this wiki being upgraded as I think it looks like it's in the need to be redesigned. In my personal point of view, many of the pages here feel a little unorganised and all over the place (for instance, the page for B-Ball looks a bit poor quality in comparison for the page for Mosh, and how there are several pages for Angiru, in which I think should be combined into one).
While I understand that this wiki is slightly inactive and that Gogo's aren't that popular than they used to be, I still feel the need to give this wiki a brand new look. For example, making new templates and reducing the amount of unnecessary information; I had been making colour scheme images for Series 1 and been using them to replace the colours written in text as shown here. I also considered the thought about giving the wiki a new background and logo as I think it could do with an improvement.
So what does everyone think of this?
Apparently it is possible to request a merge from the wikia staff.
Maybe this page could be merged with crazybones.wikia.com so that people who try to find that will be redirected here as that other one has no information on it.
I just found out about these awesome thing by a friend and the the marina. They are great and a fun thing to do at the holiday! I have only got scary mr. Cheeky and dummy but at school me my friend are Going to swap.i will try to get my other friends into this game!
I think I might be getting these two rare mini-tins from the foot series (my wife hinted I might get them), the gold and the silver, but if I do I won't get them until sometime next month.
